It’s finally Friday and time to shake off the work week blues at Dark Times: A Comedic Variety Hour, tonight at 9:30pm!
DARK TIMES is a variety show that takes our audience on an epic journey as we battle the forces of darkness and evil that separate us from our ultimate (undetermined) destinies.
This show was inspired by a poignant evening on NBC’s “The Voice,” where a contestant found himself going through “dark times” after dropping out of NYU’s graduate program for music business to pursue his true calling: slightly faltering karaoke singing.
His parents seemed very disappointed.
Hosted by Megan Lohne and Melissa Somosky, Dark Times will be an evening of sketch comedy, stand-up, storytelling, music, and anything else that might help us laugh our way out of our mild depression.
Featuring the comedic stylings of Sunita Deshpande, Gilad Foss, Katey Healy-Wurzburg, Halle Kiefer, Megan Lohne,Justin Perez and Katie Repman.
We’ll never be able to make our parents happy, but we can put on a variety show to pursue our empty dreams. Dark, dark times.

Do you have Royal Baby fever? Do you hate the Royal Baby? Or do you not really care, like, either way? This is the show for you! The Royal Fetus Variety Show is a comedy variety show dedicated to Kate Middleton’s unborn babe. Hosted by Anne Victoria Clark, Meggie Spellman. It features sketch, musical acts, stand-up, and sometimes improv all inspired by OR having nothing at all to do with the Royal Pregnancy.

We’ll be enjoying a special performance by Tim Racine of the PIT house team Grounds For Divorce, who has been featured at Just For Laughs Chicago, and who xoJane once called “funny” and “cute”.
We’ll also be joined by the Reformed Whores, a musical comedy duo and Nashville Scene Critic’s Pick, who’ll be regaling us with songs about everything “from venereal diseases to drunk dialing’.
Come party with us at the only show in New York where you can pretend to be inside Kate Middleton’s uterus while you order a beer.
